Your trusted bank, Manya Krobo Rural Bank Limited is 40 years old. The bank was established in 1978 with a single branch. By the grace of God, at the age of 40, the bank now has 11 branches and still counting.

On the occasion of our 40th Anniversary, MKRB wishes to express our profound gratitude to our teaming customers, shareholders and the general public for the loyalty and commitment in doing business with us.

Activities that marked the Anniversary Celebrations

The Bank had a resounding celebration to mark such a milestone. It was under the theme ’40 YEARS OF SUCCESSFUL BANKING – IMPACTING LIVES WITHIN OUR COMMUNITIES’.

Presentation to CHPS Compounds in the Manya and Yilo Krobo municipalities  

Various items and medical equipments were presented to 5 various CHIPS Compounds in the Lower Manya Krobo and Yilo Krobo Municipalities in the Eastern region. Some of the items presented include the following:

Health Screening

A free health screening exercise was also organised at the bank’s premises by nurses from the St. Martins De Pores Hospital, Agormanya for the community. In the end, about 400 people got screened.

Football Gala among clubs in Manya and Yilo municipalities

A football gala was also organised at both Lower Manya Krobo and Yilo Krobo municipalities. The curtain raiser was played between two female teams (Yokama FC and Root Sisters) where Root Sisters emerged winners. The actual competition was among 10 teams (5 teams each from Yilo and Manya Municipalities). The municipalities played their preliminaries and the 1st and 2nd Runner up for both municipalities played the 3rd and 4th as well as the 1st and 2nd place games.

In the end, Great Wonders Club from Somanya in the Yilo municipality emerged winners whiles Real Krobo United placed second.

Anniversary Float

There was a float from Somanya to Kpong essentially to remind the entire community about the banks achievements and reassure them that the bank remains solid and committed to meeting all their banking needs. About 800 people turned up for the float including customers, shareholders and the general public.

Grand Durbar 

The activities were climaxed with a grand durbar at the bank premises on Saturday 25th August, 2018. This brought together influential players in the industry, directors (past and present), staff, shareholders, customers and the general public.

Some deserving individuals were honoured at the event which brought about 1,000 people together.

Thanksgiving Service

The Board, Management and entire staff of the bank attended a thanksgiving service at the Zimmerman Presbyterian Church , Odumase-Krobo to give thanks to the Almighty God for a successful celebrations and a major milestone covered.
